BMW M2 and 2-Series Will Fit F30/F32 M3 Parts

After last week's big announcement concerning the i3 and i8, the recently leaked detailsconcerning the bmw M2 have proven that this last week has been huge in BMW news.BMW's 1-Series is set to be replaced by the 2-Series coupe/convertible, and word has just come in from BimmerPost that the M2 has not yet officially been approved for production. The coupe should be confirmed as soon as the series begins production.
Following the lead of the 1M coupe and current M3, the M2 will be based mostly on future M3 parts and the 2-Series lineup will be designed to fit some of the F30/F32 parts. This means that even the suspension from the F30/F32 M3 suspension can fit the M2. More importantly, the much-anticipated M2 coupe will be making its way to the U.S. in either 2014/15.Exchangeable parts for models that are already
only bodes well for its anticipated arrival. Also rumored are the motors the new M2 will sport. Some  there will be a 350hp 3.0-liter 6-cylinder turbocharged engine.
Others contend that a more efficient tri-turbocharged 6-cylinder motor or even a turbocharged 4-cylinder powerplant could be on offer. The current M3's  transmission and brakes could also be carried over into the 2-Series coupe.Whatever the case may be for the M2 coupe/cabrio, we are just excited that it won't follow the example set by the F20 1-Series of staying out of the  Excitement for the M2 is mounting and from what we hear, those expectations are sure to be met.
