Sweet music for graduate

IT IS one of the nation's best schools of dramatic art, so it is no surprise one of its graduates from Sutherland Shire landed an exciting role that will take her stage talents to a new level.Kate Maree Hoolihan of Jannali, a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, will take part in a musical tribute to songwriter-composer, Matthew Robinson in this month's Sing On Through Tomorrow.
Her musical theatre credits include We Will Rock You, Mamma Mia, The Boy from Oz with Hugh Jackman, Opera Australia's A Little Night Music and Little Women, for Kookaburra.
Kate's latest venture includes nine performances signifying the decade-long career of multi-award winning composer-lyricist, Matthew Robinson.
Robinson is the youngest ever recipient of Australia's richest theatre-writing award, the Pratt Prize for Music Theatre.
Sing On Through Tomorrow tells the story of four people in their 30s who must travel back in time to rediscover their dreams.
It uses songs from Robinson's many critically acclaimed shows.
Performances are at Sidetrack Theatre, Marrickville until August 14.
Tickets are $35 each for adults (or $28 concession).
