In a race that ended with fury from both drivers and team owners, Ryan Hunter-Reay picked up his firstCar Series win of the season Sunday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway -- an event cut 10laps short of its 225-lap distance.Light rain fell on the flat one-mile track with fewer than 20 laps remaining, forcing the fifth caution. As the race resumed with 10 laps to go, Danica Patrick spun around and collected several cars, including championship contender Will Power.Power was among those furious with the decision from race control to resume it when track conditions were still wet. The Team Penske driver made an inappropriate gesture (finger) to the direction of racecontrol after he hopped out of his badly damaged car.
Officials halted the race and then ended it prematurely, as they reverted the finishing order based on the order before the restart.
Hunter-Reay was leading the way at the time of the restart and therefore credited with the win. Oriol Servia finished second, followed by Scott Dixon, rookie James Hinchcliffe and Power
Dario Franchitti started on the pole and dominated the race before he was wrecked by Takuma Sato after a restart on 1ap 119. Franchitti finished 20th and saw his points lead over Power trimmed from 63 to 47.
