50 people injured in train collision in Germany

Police said that about fifty people were injured when a train collided with a car in eastern Germany, said federal police spokesman Torsten Henkel The train crashed into a car which had collided with another car and rushed to the path of the train in the city of Uterpach between the regions of Leipzig and Kimnch.

He explained that the driver of the car managed to get out before the incident, but the train could not stop in time, and added that three of the carriages derailed, with overturned one car on its side, killing nine people seriously injured, and wounded forty others were slightly injured.

And rescue teams rushed to the scene, while helicopters moved people with serious injuries to local hospitals for treatment.
