Wenatchee Washington State Patrol Remembers

We wanted to do something special for AnneThis day could definitely be described as special. It wasn't all about tears. You could feel the love and support, too.

"It was good to see people, but it was missing somethingShe wasn't here, but I'll always have that part of me because I knew her so long, and I'll always remember her."
was trained by Anne It was clear as I talked to her friends and family, that she was more than a woman in uniform. Anne laughed a lot.

"She was lots of fun, and it was always a laugh to be with Anne,Anne's friend"Her sense of humor and givingness to the people she worked with gave so much back to people," says another friend.
And, that's the reasonwanted to give back to Anne as well. This plaque was dedicated to her,and this flower was chosen with her in mind. It bloomed for the first time this week. She loved pink and flamingosThis plant will come back each year, and the flagstone will be here for eternity."Directly behind this wall, behind Anne's stone and 'flamingo' pink flower, is the control center she used to manage. And, behind these half smiles, hugs and tears, is the bond each person still has with the strong, loving, funny woman they all remember so dearly.
I still can't believe she's gone,I don't know that I'll ever get my head around that, but I have so many good memories of Anne, and she's here with us."

There will be another memorial the next few weeks, golf fundraiser for all three workers in September.
