Regina-based jewelry designer unveils fall line

has a personal connection to the fundraiser's cause. The 37-year-old model recently went through treatment for multiple myeloma.autumn/winter 2011 collection catalogue, Ray is described as "the epitome of feminine strength and beauty and embodies what anwoman is. Brave. Gorgeous. Powerful."In early 2011, Ray headlined the national Make Myeloma Matter media campaign,
"This line is very exciting as we are featuring our first international celebrity and roll model as the face of the campaign," Mielke said. "Lisa Ray is a well-known Bollywood actress, who starred in the Oscar-nominated film Water. I am thrilled and honoured to have her be the face of our Autumn/Winter Collection,"
For the Regina launch of Noctem collection, models from Regina-based Edge Agency showcased the new line on the runway, working with nationally acclaimed, Regina-based makeup artist Sara Lindsay.Traditionally, runway shows unveiling new  collections have showcased the jewelry against a little black dress canvas.
But the launch of the latest jewelry collection featured original dresses by internationally recognized, Regina-based fashion designer Dean Renwick.
The elegant flowing chiffon caftans added an elegant, sophisticated element to the runway show.
The Carpe Noctem (Seize the Night) collection was inspired by "vampy pop culture, art deco, and finding your light in the dark situations of life,
Mielke explained. "This collection is designed with thewoman in mind. And I hope that women who wear this line will feel empowered to let their light shine and empower other women."The fall line features an array of semi-precious gemstones, including rutilated quartz and vibrantly coloured fresh water pearls. The new H&B hoop earrings feature delicately carved deco motifs. And the new findings (the components, materials and parts used in making a piece of jewelry) feature a classic art deco styling and bezel set Swarovski crystals.
