Being a “must” for any iconic car to unveil a special edition version to mark the end of a production run, Bugatti’s fans will have to settle for the Veyron SuperSport, as the company’s boss said, being concerned of the airflow to the massive quad-turbo W16 engine.
Even though Veyron’s days are coming to an end and a more powerful rival is close to hitting the market, Wolfgang Durheimer added that Bugatti is working on a supercar which will be closer to producing 1.200 horsepower.
The Bugatti
Veyron SuperSport is powered by an 8.0 liter quad-turbo W16 engine, which is developing 1.200 horsepower and 1.500 Nm of torque, being electronically limited to 415 km/h. The Veyron SuperSport has set a land speed record of over 430 km/h (268 mph).
