The Bavarians introduce the 2011 BMW Z4 GT3

With a price of €315,000 including VAT, the new BMW Z4 GT3 is already available for orders and gets revealed in depth today. The German race model features components made of carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) such as the bonnet, fenders and wings, a safety cell made of steel tubing and other aerodynamic components able to improve the performance.

Under the hood you get a 4.4-liter V8 unit coupled to a six-speed sequential transmission, gearshift paddles being available. For now, BMW decided to keep the mystery on the performance developed by the new V8 engine that fits the Z4 GT3. BMW claims that the new model managed to impose by winning the Dubai 24 Hours for Team Schubert earlier this year.

Another improvements include a new ECU408 that takes care of the engine management while the actuators are controlled by BMW’s Power400 unit.
