2012 BMW 6 Series gets the M Sport Package

The Germans from BMW decided to reveal the M Sport package specially designed for the new-generation 6 Series. The styling package developed by the Bavarians will be available starting this fall for both the Coupe and Convertible variants. For the beginning, we will talk only about the M Sport package but we go in depth these days with further details as the Germans plan to upgrade the engine range of the current 6 Series generation but also introduce the xDrive system, a first for this range.

As expected, the 2012 BMW 6 Series the M Sport package brings just styling improvements including new 19-inch M alloy wheels in double-spoke design, new side skirts, revised front and rear bumpers and LED foglamps. The interior receives a special treatment as well with new an M leather steering wheel and new sports seats covered with leather and Alcantara.

Moreover, the BMW Individual range will allow you to customize the model even more with some extra exclusive paint finishes, new alloy wheels and more advanced styling options for the interior. Starting this autumn, BMW also plans to add new functions to the ConnectedDrive system of the current 6 Series generation. This means that a bunch of new features such as the Stop & Go function, Active Cruise Control, Collision Warning with braking function and the innovative Real-Time Traffic Information system will be available.

The new BMW 6 Series Coupe will benefit from a new Bang & Olufsen High End Surround Sound System with 16 speakers and a total output of 1,200 watts. The Convertible variant will get the same innovative audio system with 12 speakers and an output of 1,000 watts, both of the systems being fitted with the exclusive Acoustic Lens Technology.
