It also is a segment leader safely features, including 10 standard air bags.
“If you want to determine evidence of a turnaround at GM, look no farther than Cruze,” said Lyndon Conrad Bell, editor in chief ofDecisive Auto. “Handsome styling, an attractive interior, competent powertrains, a pleasurable driving experience, exceptional practicality, and ready affordability all come together to make the Chevrolet Cruze Decisive Auto’s 2011 Urban Car of the season.”
“I was very impressed after driving the new Chevrolet Cruze the very first time,” said Randi Payton, publisher of Decisive Media. “I immediately first viewed it as a contender for Urban Car of the Year and there was no doubt i believe that our 15 judges would think so too. Once the votes were tallied, my predictions rang true.”
“We attempted to redefine the compact segment with Cruze by providing customers more of the features they want at a lower price than comparably equipped competitive models,” said Margaret Brooks, Chevrolet Small Car marketing director. “The Cruze offers significantly more value than the competition – with more standard equipment, segment leading safety features, segment leading fuel economy along with a fun-to-drive ride characteristic.”
