Three people are in hospital after they were run down by a vehicle in a Mississauga parking lot early Sunday morning.
The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. at a parking lot in the Erin Mills Parkway and Battleford Road area.
Reports from the scene said an altercation occurred after a man was hit over the head with a beer bottle.
The man then got into an Audi and ran down several people.
Three people were taken to hospital, one with what initial reports described as serious head injuries.
Police discovered the abandoned vehicle on Highway 401 just east of Erin Mills Parkway.
Police tracked down the registered owner of the vehicle at an address in Toronto.
The vehicle owner said that his cousin had taken the car.
The owner was taken into custody for questioning.
